Russian combined strike hits Kharkiv: Fires erupt with multiple casualties

On the night of June 7, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with drones. As a result of the attack, a hit on a civilian enterprise was recorded, and a fire broke out, reports Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
"According to information from our Situation Center, a Shahed-type drone hit a civilian enterprise in Kharkiv's Kyivskyi district. The attack caused a powerful fire," the message stated at 3:18 a.m. Kyiv time.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that drone strikes were recorded in two districts of Kharkiv.
Specifically, in the Kyivskyi district, six UAVs reportedly hit the territory of a civilian enterprise. In addition, strikes were recorded in the Osnovianskyi district.
"According to preliminary information, there are casualties," Syniehubov added.

The mayor of Kharkiv clarified that apartments on floors six through nine are burning in the residential building in the city center. According to preliminary information, people are trapped under the debris in the apartments.

“Kharkiv is currently experiencing the most powerful attack since the full-scale war began. As of this moment, at least 40 explosions have been heard in the city over the past hour and a half,” Terekhov writes.
He noted that the Russian forces are striking simultaneously with missiles, Shahed drones, and guided bombs.
According to the Air Force, Shahed drones are still present in the suburbs, and the threat has not passed.

Recently, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that a woman was trapped under rubble in the city. Terekhov specified that she was trapped under the debris in a high-rise building in the city center. She has now been freed and is receiving medical care.
At the same time, the mayor reported information about another fatality in the Kyivskyi district. Thus, as of now, two people have died and 17 have been injured.
