According to Decision Desk HQ's forecast, the Republican Party of US President-elect Donald Trump has won a majority in the House of Representatives. This means that Republicans will have control over both houses.
“The final House breakdown is uncertain, with ballots still being counted for several races in California,” The Hill adds.
Although some companies that publish preliminary results have not yet confirmed that the Republicans have won the required 218 seats, it was Decision Desk HQ that first announced Trump as the 47th president of the United States on election night.
