Putin threatens to strike Ukrainian nuclear power plants: 'Justification' already prepared

Russia may strike Ukrainian nuclear power plants under a fabricated pretext, according to a speech by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Valdai Forum.
Putin claimed that Russian energy workers supposedly cannot repair the power lines leading to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant because the area where they are located is within the range of Ukrainian artillery.
Russian President also accused IAEA staff present at the plant of "staying silent but seeing everything."
"This is a dangerous game, and people on the other side need to understand that too. If they continue to play with this, they still have nuclear power plants on their side. And what prevents us from responding in kind? They should think about that," the Kremlin chief threatened.
Blackout at Zaporizhzhia NPP
The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has been in a blackout state for nine days.
Today, Ukraine’s Chief State Inspector for Nuclear and Radiation Safety, Oleh Korikov, noted that this is an emergency situation that could escalate into an accident.
According to him, Russia is creating obstacles to restoring power supply to the plant.
Electricity supply to the NPP is primarily needed to cool the reactors. Currently, this process is entirely dependent on generators.
