Putin insists on face-to-face meeting with Zelenskyy without Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin insists on a personal meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He rejects the participation of US leader Donald Trump in the talks.

According to a White House official, when Trump called to offer his presence at the meeting between Zelenskyy and the Russian president, Putin said: "You don't have to come. I want to see him one on one."

According to the publication's source, Trump's team has already "started working on this." The preparation of the meeting is being handled by US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff.

Later, the White House confirmed that information.

Seven hits: SBU drones destroy Russian ammo depots in Luhansk region

On the night of August 19, long-range drones of the SBU attacked two Russian ammunition depots in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region. At least seven hits were recorded.

According to the SBU, the explosions occurred at two Russian ammunition depots in the settlement of Bilokurakyne.

This settlement is located on an important railway line through which Russia supplies ammunition to the front line, including the Pokrovsk direction.

Preliminary reports indicate that the drones hit the depot areas at least seven times.

After the explosions, a powerful fire broke out, which was also recorded by the international FIRMS service, tracking fires in real time worldwide.

The United Kingdom will help Ukraine hold its first elections after the end of the war with Russia. The electoral commissions of the two countries signed a cooperation agreement.
