Russian dictator spokesperson Dmitry Peskov claims that territorial disputes between Ukraine and Russia amount to "only a few kilometers," according to Russian media.

"Territorial disagreements between Russia and Ukraine amount to a few kilometers," Peskov said.

He also claimed that stable peace could be achieved already today, but for that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy must "make certain decisions."

"As long as Zelenskyy does not find the courage and does not take responsibility for his decisions, the special military operation will continue," the Russian dictator’s spokesperson added.

Peskov also said that the Easter ceasefire is a "humanitarian gesture from Putin," and that Easter is a holiday respected by both Russians and Ukrainians.

Donbas issue in negotiations

As a reminder, Ukraine has held several rounds of talks with Russia and the United States this year.

The sides have failed to reach agreement on a ceasefire itself, as Russia is demanding the surrender of the unoccupied part of Donbas, which Kyiv rejects.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ruled out any territorial exchange involving Donbas for other regions. He stressed that the aggressor state understands it may be able to hold onto border areas only temporarily, and that the moment will come when the Armed Forces of Ukraine will push the occupiers out.
