Putin’s envoy heads to US for meeting with Trump’s team - Reuters

According to two sources familiar with preparations for the talks, Dmitriev’s trip to the United States will take place on Wednesday. They said the visit was personally approved by Putin.
The meeting will continue talks between Putin and US representatives at the Kremlin earlier this month.
According to one of the sources, the purpose of the trip is to maintain dialogue between Russia and the United States and efforts toward a peaceful settlement.
Zelenskyy and Trump have already met in New York — the talks took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
Earlier, Putin’s representatives also said they intended to resume trilateral talks on Ukraine involving the United States — however, there has been no progress on this so far.
Before that, Peskov had already said that the Kremlin expected a new trilateral meeting, while Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed that Moscow had seen a "positive signal" in the US approach to the peace process.
