Russian leader Vladimir Putin, during yesterday’s conversation with US President Donald Trump, stated that Ukraine allegedly “attacked” Moscow on the eve of Victory Day, according to the Russian leader’s aide Yuri Ushakov.

According to Ushakov, Putin, in a conversation with Trump, mentioned Kyiv’s drone attacks on Moscow on the eve of Victory Day. The dictator reported that almost all the drones had been shot down.

In addition, Putin fantasized that “threats of terrorist attacks” in the area of the Kremlin and Red Square were allegedly prevented. Putin said these were so-called attempts to “intimidate” the leaders who came to Moscow on May 9 for the parade.

Parade in Moscow on May 9

Russian leader Vladimir Putin invited the leaders of China, India, and Brazil, as well as Slovakia and Serbia, to attend the May 9 parade in Moscow.

Among the invited countries were China, Brazil, Belarus, Slovakia, Serbia, Vietnam, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Venezuela, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Zimbabwe, the Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, and Burkina Faso.

The US and most EU member states did not receive invitations.

Earlier, during the night of May 7, unknown drones attacked Moscow and the Moscow region. In the region, the interception of targets and the falling of debris were recorded.

Trump’s call to Putin and Zelenskyy

On May 19, Trump held telephone conversations with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He spoke with Zelenskyy twice: first, he called him, then he spoke with Putin, and afterward, he contacted the Ukrainian leader again.

After the negotiations, the U.S. president emphasized that the Russian Federation and Ukraine must sit at the negotiating table to end hostilities and reach a peaceful resolution to the armed conflict.
