Putin is now protected by more than 800 security service personnel

Putin has now increased the number of Federal Protective Service personnel for the fourth time. His security detail will now include 812 people, The Moscow Times reports.
Putin expands his security detail
The Kremlin leader has signed a decree to expand the central staff of the Federal Protective Service (FSO) for the fourth time since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
According to the document, the maximum number of employees in the FSO's central staff will increase from 785 to 812, the outlet reports.
The staff was expanded:
- January 1, 2025 — to 785 employees;
- January 1, 2024 — to 775 employees;
- Late 2022 — from 725 to 760 employees.
Before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the FSO's central staff had not been expanded for nearly 13 years.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Putin told Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that Russia was allegedly moving toward ending the "Ukraine conflict."
It was also reported that Modi told Putin that the world should finally choose peace.
In addition, the decision to escalate the war against Ukraine is driven by domestic reasons, as Putin's main goal is to preserve his own power and life.
