Putin is a mass murderer of his own army - Ukraine's FM

The cynicism of the Russian President Vladimir Putin demonstrates a complete disregard for US peace initiatives and international efforts as a whole, said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
"Putin's cynical statements show complete contempt for US peace efforts. While the United States and the rest of the world call for an immediate end to the killings, Russia's chief war criminal is discussing plans to seize more Ukrainian territory and kill even more Ukrainians," the Foreign Minister emphasized.
According to him, among all the outrageous remarks made by the Russian president today, one stands out in particular — the one about the foot of a Russian soldier.
"In reality, wherever a Russian soldier sets foot, he brings with him only death, destruction, and devastation. Putin does not care about Russian soldiers or their legs, torn apart by Ukrainian drones. He is a mass murderer of his own people. He has already wiped out a million Russian soldiers in this senseless, bloody war in Ukraine without achieving a single strategic objective. A million soldiers. Two million legs," emphasized Sybiha.
The minister noted that, while Putin is busy sending Russian legs to invade other countries, he is economically bringing Russians at home to their knees.
"His cynical statements serve only one purpose: to divert public attention from the total failure of his quarter-century in power. It has plunged Russia into the shameful club of pariah regimes like North Korea and Iran, into international isolation, and into endless economic stagnation that will only worsen," the Foreign Minister added.
He went on to say that, in his view, the only way to force Russia into peace is to strip it of its sense of impunity.
"Increase support for Ukraine's defense and deliver a crippling blow to the Russian economy with devastating sanctions. Recognize Russia as a terrorist state. Fully isolate it. Bring Moscow to its senses," he concluded.
Earlier today the Russian president spoke at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Specifically, he stated that "wherever the foot of a Russian soldier steps, everything is ours."
At the forum, Putin was asked how far the Russian army could advance in the context of the war against Ukraine, since Russian soldiers are entering territories of those Ukrainian regions that Moscow has illegally recognized as "its own."
To this, the Russian president again repeated the nonsense he himself invented about "one people."
Just last month, US President Donald Trump said that Russian president Vladimir Putin wants to occupy all of Ukraine.
And today, the Kremlin leader said that he does not seek Ukraine's capitulation. However, he once again laid out his demands for Kyiv.
