Putin is losing more people than he is killing, Trump says

Russian leader Vladimir Putin is losing more people in the war against Ukraine than he is killing, said US President Donald Trump during a press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
"He’s killing many people, and he’s losing more people than he’s killing. Frankly, the Russian soldiers are being killed at a higher rate than the Ukrainian soldiers," Trump said.
He reiterated his claim that the war in Ukraine would never have started if he were President of the United States.
"It's millions of people that have died in that war, millions of souls, and they're not American soldiers. The soldiers are being killed at levels nobody's seen since the Second World War. I feel I have an obligation to get it settled for that reason," Trump stated.
Trump said the words he told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Oval Office—that the conflict could have escalated into World War III.
"That’s a war that could have been a third world war, and I don’t think we are going to be there now. That was heading to a third world war. And what a shame it is," he added.
Russia’s losses in the war against Ukraine
Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that Russian leader Vladimir Putin does not care about Russia’s losses in the war against Ukraine. Russia reportedly loses around 5,000 soldiers every week.
According to the Ukrainian General Staff, Russia’s total combat losses in personnel since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have reached approximately 1,098,380. In just the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 930 Russian soldiers.
Today, Trump said that Russia’s war against Ukraine will end. Good news could come soon.
