Russian President Vladimir Putin publicly expressed a desire to live to 150 years old. At the same time, he cynically stated that even such a lifespan would not be enough for him, according to Russian media.
In response to questions from propagandists during the Journey into the World of Artificial Intelligence conference in Moscow, Putin said that even 150 years would not be sufficient for him.
“You could, probably, extend (life expectancy) to 150 years. But, first of all, it would still never be enough, just like money—never. The main question isn’t how long you live, but how you live, why, and for what,” the Kremlin leader cynically stated.
At the same time, Putin boasted that he had supposedly completed his annual medical check-up. He admitted that doctors examined him for nearly two full days, and the President’s health is allegedly good.
“I just went through my annual examination; it took me almost two days, with an overnight stay at the clinic. I arrived in the afternoon and left the next day. Thank God, everything is fine,” Putin assured.
At the beginning of September this year, during a military parade in Beijing, Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Putin discussed human longevity and the possibility of living to 150 years. Their conversation was accidentally caught on a hot mic and later leaked online.
During the conversation, Putin mentioned organ transplantation, while the Chinese leader focused on technology. North Korean President Kim Jong Un also participated. All three leaders have reasons to be concerned about their health: Putin and Xi are already 72 years old, and 41-year-old Kim Jong Un also reportedly faces serious health issues.
Interestingly, after the discussion between Xi Jinping and Putin about living to 150 years, the Chinese social network Weibo censored searches for the related term. It is impossible to find anything containing the phrase 150 years.
