Russian President Vladimir Putin has made another series of claims about the war in Ukraine. According to him, the Russian army is advancing on the front line every day.

During a press conference, Putin stated that Russian forces are "advancing every single day," and that the so-called special military operation is approaching its end.

"The situation on the battlefield is developing in such a way that it gives us the right to say it is moving toward completion," he claimed.

At the same time, he was unable to specify any timeline for this end. He added that "it is impossible to name exact deadlines under combat conditions" and that doing so would be "simply reckless."

Recently, Estonian intelligence stated that the Russian leader has less and less time left to impose his conditions on Ukraine in the war. The situation on the front has reached a stalemate, while economic and social problems inside Russia are worsening.

In addition, the Head of the Office of the President, Kyrylo Budanov, said that Russia is unable to achieve its initial goals in the war against Ukraine. He added that Russia is therefore lowering the bar and putting forward new demands.

At the same time, the Financial Times recently reported that Russian military command has promised Vladimir Putin to capture Donbas by autumn. They are telling him that the Ukrainian army is exhausted, the front line is collapsing, and Ukraine's capabilities are running out.

Bloomberg reported that some senior officials in the Kremlin acknowledge the war against Ukraine has reached a stalemate. They also see no safe way out of the situation for the regime.
