Zelenskyy in New York

On Monday evening, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in New York to take part in the UN General Assembly. He was accompanied by First Lady Olena Zelenska and the official Ukrainian delegation, which includes representatives of the government, the diplomatic corps, and the Presidential Office.

Zelenskyy noted that his agenda in New York will be extremely busy, with nearly two dozen bilateral meetings planned with heads of state, representatives of international organizations, and Ukraine’s key partners. One of the most anticipated will be his talks with Trump.

Zelenskyy has already held talks with Keith Kellogg, the US Special Envoy. The main topic of discussion was the situation on the front line, particularly the security challenges Ukraine is facing.

In addition, Zelenskyy met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. During the talks, the Ukrainian leader stressed the critical need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense system, which plays a key role in protecting civilians and infrastructure.
