President of Romania informed Stoltenberg about new fragments of Russian drone
President of Romania Klaus Iohannis had a phone conversation with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, during which he informed Stoltenberg about the discovery of new fragments of a Russian drone by the Romanian authorities, announces the President of Romania on Twitter.
"During a phone conversation with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg that took place today, we discussed the Romanian authorities' discovery of new parts of drones on our territory, similar to those used by Russian military," he stated.
Iohannis strongly condemned the violations of Romania's sovereign airspace, which pose a threat to the country's citizens.
"NATO Secretary-General expressed full solidarity of the Alliance and its allies with Romania, which is under full protection and enjoys the highest security guarantees in history," the President of Romania added.
New fragments of a drone
Today, the Romanian Ministry of Defense announced that it has discovered new fragments of a drone similar to those used by Russian military forces.
The area where the fragments were found is surrounded by military installations, and the discovered elements will be collected for analysis and technical expertise.
