He added that, according to his data, a tank containing lubricants exploded at 1A Pukhivska Street. One vehicle was damaged in the blast. No casualties have been reported so far.
"Patrol officers are on site. The facility is located behind TPP-6. A wiring short circuit occurred inside a security guard's cabin. During firefighting, the fire spread to the lubricant tank," the head of the Desnianskyi District State Administration explained.
Explosion in Kyiv
Earlier today, explosions were heard in Troieshchyna, Kyiv. Following this, local online communities reported power outages in parts of the Dniprovskyi District.
Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, noted that several residential streets on the city's left bank lost power.
Meanwhile, Kyivteploenergo said the TPP-6 is operating normally. The company confirmed there is no threat to Kyiv's energy supply.
The company emphasized that although some media reports mention smoke and an explosion at TPP-6, their data indicate the fire incident occurred at a facility outside TPP-6's territory.
