The rocket strike by Russian terrorists on Odesa today, March 6, is not related to the visit of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the city, reports Natalia Humeniuk, spokesperson for the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine.

"What is happening is that Russia is a terrorist, and it is obviously continuing attacks on the port infrastructure. So, there was a rocket strike on Odesa, presumably with ballistic weapons, hitting one of the buildings in the port infrastructure. But this is in no way related to any specific visit. It is related to the terror that the enemy is methodically conducting," says Humeniuk.

The spokesperson also reminds that Russia attacked the port infrastructure of Odesa both before the termination of the grain deal and afterward.

Strike on Odesa

Today, March 6, Russian occupiers launched a rocket strike on Odesa. At the time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis were in the city.

Greek media reported that the strike was supposedly aimed at the convoy of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which was located 150 meters away from the Greek delegation.

President Zelenskyy, commenting on the strike, stated that he saw and heard the Russian attack.

At the same time, the Prime Minister of Greece clarified that the Russians struck Odesa while he and Zelenskyy were in the port. He spoke of powerful explosions nearby.
