Russian forces attacked the railway and port infrastructure overnight. As a result of the attack, several fires broke out, according to Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksii Kuleba.
“Four railway substations in the Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Vinnytsia regions, as well as several railway bridges, were attacked by drones. Fortunately, there were no casualties,” Kuleba said.
Due to the damage, some trains were temporarily redirected via alternative routes. Restoration work is ongoing at all sites.
“During the air raid alert, more than 20 trains were stopped in safe locations — this is a standard safety procedure to protect passengers and staff,” he added.
The enemy also attacked the port infrastructure in the Odesa region. As a result of the strikes, tanks containing vegetable oil caught fire, while a grain warehouse was damaged. There were no casualties. Rescuers are dealing with the aftermath. Port infrastructure was also damaged on the territory of another port.
