It is known that Pope Francis is in Gemelli Hospital, where he suffered a respiratory crisis in the morning. The Pope needed to use oxygen at high flows.
Despite the increasing pain, Francis spent the day in a wheelchair. He needs blood transfusions to maintain his health.
"The condition of the Holy Father remains critical, so, as explained yesterday, the Pope is not out of danger. This morning, Pope Francis had an asthmatic respiratory crisis of a protracted nature," the press service noted.
It is worth noting that Pope Francis has been undergoing treatment at the Gemelli Clinic in Rome for more than a week.
The Pope was recently hospitalized because he was suspected of having bronchitis. Later, however, Politico stated that the Pope had bilateral pneumonia and was on the verge of death.
