Polish carriers block Ukrainian border: Latest situation at Yahodyn crossing

Yesterday, Polish carriers began blocking the Yahodyn border crossing point. Currently, the number of trucks in the electronic queue has decreased by almost half, the State Customs Service of Ukraine reports.
According to customs officials, carriers are now massively deregistering from the eQueue to cross the border through the Yahodyn crossing point. They are choosing other border crossing points along the Ukrainian-Polish border. During the night of May 12 to 13, the Yahodyn customs post processed only 8 cargo trucks.
Polish carriers yesterday blocked the Dorohusk-Yahodyn crossing point. They restricted truck traffic to one per hour in both directions - entering and exiting Ukraine. As a result, during the 12-hour night shift at the Yahodyn customs post, 205 cargo trucks were processed entering Ukraine, and only 8 exiting.
As of yesterday, the electronic queue included 1,391 vehicles, but today it has been nearly halved and stands at 789 empty or loaded vehicles as of this morning.
Carriers are no longer joining the "live queue" to enter Ukraine, choosing alternative routes instead.
Protests by Polish farmers and border blockade
Recently, the Polish carriers announced a new protest action at the border with Ukraine. The blockade is planned at the Dorohusk-Yahodyn crossing point.
Yesterday, border guards warned that truck traffic through the Yahodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint between Ukraine and Poland could be disrupted.
By 4:00 p.m., Polish carriers had already started a protest near the Yahodyn-Dorohusk crossing point on the Polish-Ukrainian border.
In 2023, there were already protests at the border between Ukraine and Poland. At that time, Polish protesters demanded the return of the permit system for Ukrainian freight carriers. Those actions led to significant disruptions in logistics, particularly in the agricultural sector.
