Poland to provide Ukraine with new defense package - Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that Ukraine will receive a new defense package from Poland, according to the website of the Presidential Office.
According to him, all the details of cooperation between Ukraine and Poland are reflected in the security agreement that was signed today. He also thanked Poland for its readiness to continue supporting Ukraine and highlighted the cooperation in strengthening Ukraine's air defense.
"We are especially grateful for the special agreements. This is reflected in the security agreement and includes the provision to develop a mechanism for intercepting Russian missiles and drones in Ukraine’s airspace aimed at Poland. Our teams, along with the military, will discuss the speed of implementation of this provision," stated the President.
As of 5:40 p.m., details regarding the military aid that Ukraine will receive from Poland have not been announced.
Security guarantees
Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine has signed over 20 security agreements with allies. Recently, agreements were signed with the European Union, Lithuania, and Estonia.
These documents stipulate support for Ukraine in case Russia decides to initiate another invasion before the Ukrainian state joins NATO.
