Poland to conduct drone shooting training with Ukrainian military

Planned training sessions on shooting down drones for Ukrainian and Polish specialists will take place in Poland. The parties are currently agreeing on the format and areas of cooperation, according to the Polish Ministry of Defense.
The Polish Ministry of Defense has announced that due to numerous questions regarding future training on the use of drones and cooperation with Ukrainian specialists, negotiations are currently underway between experts from both countries.
The talks concern expanding cooperation in the field of drone and anti-drone systems.
"All these activities are to take place in Poland," the Polish Ministry of Defense says.
Earlier, Reuters, citing sources, wrote that representatives of the Polish army would travel to Ukraine to learn how to shoot down drones.
Today, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announces close cooperation with Ukraine on anti-drone systems.
He calls Ukrainian systems the best for creating the most effective anti-drone shield, as they have been tested on the battlefield.
"We have already agreed on specific negotiations and exchange of experience with the Ukrainian side in the coming hours," Tusk says.
Poland wants to cooperate with Ukraine
After a massive raid by Russian drones on eastern Poland on September 10, the foreign ministers of the Lublin Triangle countries called on their partners to urgently strengthen Ukraine's air defense in connection with the escalation of the war and the tense situation.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine is open to cooperation to shoot down all types of drones. The President also compared the incursion of Russian drones into Poland with the illegal annexation of Crimea.
