Poland to close border with Belarus over Russian-Belarusian Zapad-2025 military exercises

Poland announced the closure of the border with Belarus already on Thursday because of the joint Russian-Belarusian exercises Zapad-2025, according to Reuters.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk informed that Poland had made the decision to completely close its border with Belarus. Restrictions will begin to operate in the night from Thursday to Friday, at midnight local time.
The main reason became the holding of the Russian-Belarusian military exercises Zapad-2025.
What is known about the exercises Zapad-2025
The maneuvers Zapad-2025 are planned for the period from 12 to 16 September. They take place on Belarusian territory and on separate training grounds in Russia.
According to official information of Moscow and Minsk, the purpose of the exercises is to check the capabilities of the allies in the sphere of “guaranteeing security” and "repelling potential aggression".
Earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, warned that from the first days of the Russian-Belarusian exercises Zapad-2025, there would be an intense informational escalation. Most of the throw-ins will be from the side of the Russian Federation.
At the same time, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, considers that under the cover of these exercises, a hidden formation of offensive groupings of troops may be happening.
Also, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andrii Kovalenko, emphasized that the Russians will be "informationally pumping" the topic of the exercises.
