Polish military is training with the Ukrainian Armed Forces in engineering, the use of drones, and electronic warfare systems. Polish artillery is working to adapt firing tables for Western ammunition, Defence24 reports.

Colonel Wojciech Dalka, Head of the Military Equipment and Development Department of the Main Directorate of the Polish Missile and Artillery Forces, noted that the war in Ukraine has demonstrated the need to accelerate the modernization and optimization of artillery systems.

According to him, Polish artillery units continue to develop Regina divisional kits with Krab howitzers and Rak battalion links, which have autonomy and integrated control. Dalka noted that these systems require additional elements, such as technical support vehicles. In particular, the war in Ukraine has confirmed the correctness of the chosen direction of the development of cannon artillery.

Poland believes that traditional notions of sufficient ammunition stocks are outdated. After all, even millions of shells per year may not be enough for modern conflicts. This necessitates expanding the logistics infrastructure, including storage, transportation, and centralized management of ammunition.

Poland also wants to adopt the experience of the Ukrainian military in the field of engineering, as the creation of shelters and warehouses has taken on new importance.

Redeployment of air defense to Poland

Recently, the United States opened a new missile defense base in northern Poland.

Norway will provide Poland with F-35 fighter jets and NASAMS anti-aircraft systems to protect the logistics center.
