Poland reacts to alleged US threat to cut off Starlink for Ukraine

Today, the media reported that the United States allegedly threatened Ukraine to cut off Starlink if it refused to sign the minerals deal. Poland has already responded to the information, noting that it was their country that signed the agreement, thus expressing doubt that the deal would be canceled, according to Polish Minister of Digitalization Krzysztof Gawkowski.
He emphasized that it was Poland that acquired Starlink and paid for satellite internet for Ukraine.
"Poland acquired Starlink, which it transferred to Ukraine. We are paying and will continue to pay a subscription fee for satellite internet for Ukraine. I can't imagine how anyone could decide to terminate a commercial agreement for a service to which Poland is a party," Gawkowski wrote.
What preceded it
Reuters reported today that US negotiators are putting pressure on Ukraine to provide access to strategically important mineral resources. According to the agency, during the talks with the Ukrainian authorities, the American side raised the issue of a possible disconnection of the country from Starlink. It is worth noting that satellite Internet plays a critical role for Ukraine, both in providing military and civilian infrastructure.
According to the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, the Starlink satellite Internet is not being cut off in Ukraine, despite alleged threats from the United States. He also said that in addition to this, alternative "things" are working at the front.
