Poland evacuates two border crossings after strikes near its border with Ukraine - PM

According to the Polish prime minister, the attack took place while he was holding international talks in Warsaw. Due to security threats near the state border, Poland took emergency measures at the border crossing checkpoints.
"It is not the first time that when I am speaking in Warsaw with our partners about Russia’s aggressive actions and the problem they pose for Poland, the Russians confirm it at that very moment. As we were talking, Ukraine was once again attacked near the Polish border," Tusk said.
He stressed that such situations force Poland to act consistently on its own territory, cooperate with Ukraine, and warn the EU about difficult times ahead and the need to "prepare well" for the coming weeks and months.
"Autumn and winter may prove to be truly critical," Tusk warned.
During the night, the aggressor state attacked Ukraine with Zircon anti-ship missiles, ballistic missiles, and 282 attack drones. Air defense forces destroyed 227 aerial targets, but some still reached targets in the Odesa and Kyiv regions.
As a result of the overnight attack on Kyiv, two people were killed and at least eight others were injured. In the Dniprovskyi district of the capital, State Emergency Service rescuers pulled a person from the rubble of a destroyed building.
