Poland deployed aircraft amid Russian missile strike on Ukraine

Poland has deployed its own and allied military aircraft in response to the Russian missile strikes on Ukraine this morning. Additionally, ground-based air defense systems and radar reconnaissance systems are on high alert, according to the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.
"Due to the intense activity of the Russian long-range aviation, which is striking targets, including those located in the western parts of Ukraine, Polish and allied aviation began operating in our airspace," the Polish Ministry of Defense stated.
The Polish side also noted that the operational commander of the Polish Armed Forces "mobilized all available forces and means" under current procedures.
"Alert fighter pairs were deployed, and the ground-based air defense systems and radar reconnaissance were put on the highest state of readiness," the Polish command reported.
The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces pointed out that these measures "are aimed at ensuring security in areas adjacent to the threatened territories."
Additionally, the department stated that the situation is under control, and "the subordinate forces and means remain in full readiness for immediate response."
