Planes collided at Tokyo airport: Aircraft on fire, more than 300 evacuated
On Tuesday, a Japan Airlines plane caught fire while landing at Tokyo's Haneda airport, according to NHK and BBC.
"Japan Airlines says the airplane is Flight 516 from New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido to Tokyo's Haneda Airport," the media says.
Authorities suggested a possible collision with a Coast Guard aircraft after landing. Japan Airlines states the plane there can be more than 300 passengers on board.
Later, the information appeared that all 379 passengers and crew on board were evacuated. "We are currently assessing the extent of the damage," the airline notes.
Video footage shows flames from the windows and beneath the aircraft, igniting the runway.
