What is known about the victims
Law enforcement agencies reported several injuries on the ground following the plane crash.
According to the police, there were two people on board the aircraft. Their fate is currently unknown, and whether they managed to eject is unclear.
However, US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy posted on social media that "it is reported that there were six people on board."
Emergency medical staff stated that the six individuals included two doctors, two pilots, a patient, and possibly a patient's family member, as updated by American media.
It is noteworthy that this crash occurred just days after the tragic aviation disaster in Washington, when on January 29, a Bombardier CRJ700 passenger plane collided in mid-air with a military UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. Debris from both aircraft fell into the river. The crash resulted in the deaths of 67 people—60 passengers and 4 crew members of the civilian plane, as well as three soldiers aboard the helicopter.
Today, it was revealed that investigators recovered the "black boxes" from both aircraft involved in the Washington collision.
