American weapons provided by the US as part of military aid are intended for use within Ukrainian territory, citing Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh during a briefing.

She said that the US has not changed its position on the use of the weapons it provides to Ukraine. According to the Pentagon representative, the armaments should be used to reclaim Ukraine's sovereign territory.

"We've made our requests pretty public on this. Again, I would reiterate that, in every single Ukraine defense contact group that the Secretary convenes, the weapons that are provided, again, it's for use on the battlefield," Singh said.

She added that US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov are discussing how the capabilities can be utilized. In the view of the US, American weapons are best used on Ukrainian territory.

Western media note that partners do not permit Ukraine to use the provided weapons to strike Russian territory.

However, recently, UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron stated that Ukrainians have the right to strike Russia with weapons provided by Britain.

Additionally, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken commented on this issue during a visit to Kyiv. He said that the US does not encourage Ukraine to carry out strikes beyond its territories. But he also emphasized that Ukraine decides how to conduct its war.
