Peacekeeping forces in Ukraine will include not only ground troops but also aviation and naval forces from allied countries, Bloomberg reports.

On March 20, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer held a closed meeting with military leaders from several countries to discuss peacekeeping forces in Ukraine.

According to the agency, around 30 predominantly European countries have offered to provide troops, aircraft, ships, intelligence data, or funding for the so-called coalition of the willing force in Ukraine. Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan also participated in the discussions.

However, as Bloomberg notes, it remains unclear what actions these countries could take without the direct support of US President Donald Trump and the American military.

UK armed forces minister Luke Pollard stated that discussions will focus on where certain assets, such as Typhoon aircraft, will be stationed, how they can be refueled and maintained, and how they will integrate with resources provided by other allies.

According to Bloomberg, under Europe's plans, allied aviation is expected to be based in Poland and Romania. There is also the possibility of patrolling the Black Sea with ships and minesweepers.

Meanwhile, British and French forces may be deployed in major cities, ports, and critical infrastructure sites in Ukraine.

It is worth noting that several European countries are currently discussing the possibility of sending their troops to Ukraine following a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.

Today, Poland's Chief of General Staff, Wiesław Kukuła, stated that many options for the peacekeeping mission are currently being developed.

"A multi-option operation is being prepared, which depends largely on how the peace talks about Ukraine will unfold, and it is still at a very early stage of planning," he said.

The general reminded that Poland refuses to send its soldiers to participate in the peacekeeping mission. However, according to him, such an operation would be impossible without Poland's involvement.

At the same time, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is ready to deploy thousands of British soldiers to Ukraine, where they could stay for many years.
