Ukrainian partisans launched an incursion near Perevalne, just outside Simferopol, Crimea. Their target was the base of the 126th Coastal Defense Brigade of the Russian Navy, according to the partisan movement Atesh.

Despite a heavy military presence, the partisans successfully conducted reconnaissance around the base.

"Checkpoints, surveillance cameras, patrols, barracks, and vehicle depots were meticulously observed," Atesh reported, revealing that one of their agents had been serving within the brigade for half a year.

What's known about this occupying brigade

Regarding the occupying brigade itself, the partisans disclosed that it suffered significant losses at the outset of the war.

"Over 75% of its fighting force became casualties, either killed or wounded. Currently, the reinforced units of this brigade are engaged in combat on the Kherson front," according to Atesh.

Situation in Simferopol

Simferopol continues to witness the movement of military equipment and occupying forces. The first such convoys were spotted in the city as early as July, with partisans attributing this increase in activity to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counteroffensive, in which the occupiers have consistently suffered personnel and equipment losses. Towards the end of September, the occupiers started deploying anti-aircraft systems to Simferopol, with the movement of troops and equipment also being documented in mid-October.
