During the night of September 21 to 22, representatives of the resistance movement conducted a special operation in Enerhodar. They distributed leaflets throughout the city with a message to the local citizens, according to sources in the Security Service of Ukraine.

The leaflets warned people that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were approaching and that Ukraine was doing everything possible to restore peaceful life in Enerhodar.

"They were launched from a drone from the occupied territory. In total, about 5,000 of these leaflets were distributed. Such operations are conducted regularly," said a spokesperson.

Occupation of Enerhodar

Since March 2022, Enerhodar in the Zaporizhia region has been occupied by Russian forces as part of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Enerhodar is a satellite city of Europe's largest power plant, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which Russians have temporarily occupied, and various provocations have been ongoing at the plant.

Ukrainian intelligence has conducted various operations in the city in the past. Recently, there was an attack on the occupiers' so-called "passport department" on September 12.

Furthermore, on August 28, intelligence operatives effectively destroyed a range of enemy objects in the occupied Zaporizhzhia region. This included targeting Russian facilities in Enerhodar.
