Paratroopers use Strela anti-aircraft missile system to destroy ZALA Drone

Paratroopers destroyed a Russian ZALA reconnaissance drone in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the Air Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is not the first enemy air target that the crew of the Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system has successfully downed in the Donetsk region.

The Strela-10 is a short-range anti-aircraft missile system designed for direct protection of ground forces units and small military and civilian targets from low-flying aircraft (planes, helicopters, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles) within visual range.

As of the morning of Thursday, July 18, Russian losses in the war in Ukraine are +1,130 soldiers. The total number of Russian military losses since the beginning of the invasion stands at 563,640 soldiers. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed 54 artillery systems and 50 drones.
