Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of Thursday morning, July 18, amounted to 1,130 troops, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine to 563,640. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 54 artillery systems and 50 drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to July 18, 2024, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 563640 (+1130) people were killed;
  • tanks - 8245 (+7) units;
  • armored combat vehicles - 15883 (+12) units;
  • artillery systems - 15465 (+54) units;
  • MLRS - 1120 units;
  • air defense systems - 893 units;
  • airplanes - 361 units;
  • helicopters - 326 units;
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 12274 (+50) units;
  • cruise missiles - 2398 units;
  • ships/boats - 28 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • motor vehicles and tankers - 20833 (+92) units;
  • special equipment - 2593 (+7) units.

Situation at front

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army is concentrating its efforts on the Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions. There were 24 combat engagements in each of them.

According to the Institute for War Studies, the Russian occupiers advanced in the north of the Kharkiv region, as well as in Luhansk and Donetsk regions. At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces regained lost positions in the Toretsk area.
