Russian forces attacked Ukrainian territory overnight with strike drones from six directions, with most enemy targets destroyed by air defense forces, the Ukrainian Air Force reports.

"On the night of December 24, the enemy attacked with 116 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, Gerbera, and drones of other types from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, Shatalovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russian, as well as Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. About 90 of them were Shaheds," the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.

At the same time, the enemy directed a significant number of strike drones at a critical infrastructure facility in the Chernihiv region.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defense shot down or suppressed 60 enemy Shahed-type UAVs, Gerbera drones, and other types of drones in the north, south, and east of the country. Hits by 48 strike UAVs were also recorded at 19 locations.

"The enemy continues the drone attack. Follow safety rules," the Air Force added.

Tonight, December 24, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with three aerial bombs. As a result of the strikes, buildings were damaged, garages and cars were on fire, and there were reports of casualties.

At least 13 apartment buildings were damaged in the city. Windows were blown out, balconies and loggias were destroyed. Municipal services are already working at the sites of destruction, and specialists from district administrations are inspecting the area to record all the damage.
