Overnight Russian attack hits energy infrastructure in Ukrainian Chernihiv region

On the night of Monday, October 6, Russia again attacked energy facilities in the Ukrainian Chernihiv region, this time targeting the Ichnia community, according to Chernihivoblenergo (the regional power supply company).
According to the regional power company, a strike on an energy facility was recorded during the Russian attack.
"Power engineers have already begun restoration work, but it will be carried out taking into account the security situation. Therefore, we ask for patience — we are doing everything possible to restore the electricity supply as quickly as possible," the statement said.
Power engineers advise avoiding approaching energy infrastructure facilities during air raid alerts, as they are strategic targets for the Russians.

Power outage schedules
Today, in the region, hourly power outage schedules of 3 on, 3 off are in effect. However, under favorable conditions in the grid, power engineers are reducing the duration of outages.
Currently, one of the neighborhoods in Chernihiv and part of the settlements in the Pryluky district remain without an electricity supply.
Attacks on Chernihiv and the region
