Russia targets Chernihiv with Shaheds, causing fire and power outage

Last night, Chernihiv was attacked by Russian Shahed drones. One of the local factories was hit, according to the Chernihiv regional administration.
According to the administration, a fire broke out at the site of the strike. The enemy also hit an energy facility. As a result, emergency power outages occurred in one of the city districts.
The Nizhyn region was also hit by drones. A residential building was damaged. The enemy also struck one of the factories, causing a fire that has been extinguished. In the Semenivka community, an administrative building was damaged due to a drone strike.
In the past 24 hours, there were 55 shellings. More than 100 impacts were recorded in 27 settlements of the region.
Strikes on Chernihiv
As a reminder, following a series of enemy attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, power outages have affected consumers in several regions. The most difficult situation remains in Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
On the night of October 4, the Russian army again attacked the energy system in Chernihiv region. Several critical power supply facilities were damaged. Energy workers have already begun restoring the network.
