Over 500 shelling incidents: Russian forces hit Zaporizhzhia villages hard

The Russian army attacked Zaporizhzhia 505 times over the course of August 16. Private houses, apartments, cars, and educational facilities were destroyed, according to the Telegram channel of Zaporizhzhia regional governor Ivan Fedorov.
Russian forces carried out 15 airstrikes on Preobrazhenka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Bilohirya.
Nearly 350 drones of various types (mostly FPV drones) targeted Bilenke, Plavni, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Malynivka.
In addition, the occupiers shelled settlements in the region 141 times with artillery. No civilians were injured.
As reported earlier by RBC-Ukraine, on August 10 Russian troops struck Zaporizhzhia with guided bombs. The attack hit the central bus station building, a clinic of Zaporizhzhia Medical University, and a residential building. Twenty-four people sought medical assistance.
The following day, the Ministry of Energy reported that the External Crisis Center building of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant was also damaged. This facility is an important element of the plant’s safety system. An office building of the enterprise was partially destroyed, but no employees were injured.
On the morning of August 6, Russian occupation forces carried out an airstrike on Zaporizhzhia district. Ivan Fedorov reported two dead and 12 wounded, including four children.
