Attack on Dnipro

Today, Russia launched a ballistic missile strike targeting civilians in the city of Dnipro.

The attack resulted in one killed victim and more than 20 injuries, including two children. Civilian infrastructure was severely damaged, including educational institutions, medical facilities, and even a passenger train.

According to the SES, the blast wave impacted train No. 52 Odesa–Zaporizhzhia, which was near the strike's epicenter. While no dead victims were reported among passengers, some people were injured and are receiving medical assistance. Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) has dispatched an additional train to evacuate them.

Andriy Yermak, Head of the Presidential Office, posted a video of the damaged train, calling the attack further evidence of Russia's terrorist nature.

According to local authorities, the city sustained damage to at least 19 schools, 10 kindergartens, a vocational school, a music school, a hospital, clinics, and social services buildings. There was also widespread destruction in residential neighborhoods.

Due to the strike, public transportation routes have been temporarily adjusted: some trams have stopped running, and buses are operating on new routes.

Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov and regional head Serhiy Lysak confirmed that this was a deliberate attack on civilian targets. Ukrainian officials are urging the international community not to ignore these crimes.
