On the night of Monday, October 6, the Russian army launched 116 drones of various types over Ukrainian territory, according to the Air Force.

Starting at 8 p.m. on October 5, the enemy attacked with 116 Shahed and Gerbera strike drones, as well as other types of drones.

The targets were launched from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Hvardiiske.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

As of 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 83 drones of Shahed, Gerbera, and other types in the north, south, east, and center of the country.

30 strike drones were recorded hitting seven locations. The enemy attack continues, with several enemy drones in the airspace.

Attack on October 6

Russian forces fired strike drones at Kharkiv overnight. Fires broke out in the city, residential infrastructure was destroyed, and there were casualties.

Russia also attacked energy facilities in the Chernihiv region again. This time, it was the Ichnia community. According to the regional power company, a strike on an energy facility was recorded during the Russian attack.

“Energy workers have already begun restoration work, but it will be carried out taking into account the security situation. So please be patient — we are doing everything possible to restore power as soon as possible,” the statement said.

The Russians once again attacked the Odesa region with Shahed-type strike drones. An industrial facility was hit, and a fire broke out.

Russia also attacked the Donetsk region, striking a Nova Poshta branch. The company clarified that the branch was closed at the time of the strike, so none of the employees were injured.
