The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has criticized the composition of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, citing several reasons, according to The Times of Israel and other media.

The statement said that the announcement of the executive board for Gaza, subordinated to the Board of Peace, "was not coordinated with Israel and contradicts its policy."

The office added that Netanyahu instructed Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar to raise Israel's objections to the composition of the National Committee in talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The Times of Israel suggests that Netanyahu is apparently dissatisfied with the new body's composition, which will include senior officials from Qatar and Türkiye—two countries that have been highly critical of Israel's actions during the Gaza conflict.

Specifically, Türkiye will be represented by its Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and Qatar will be represented by its senior diplomat Ali Thawadi.

According to media reports, while the National Committee will formally report to the Board of Peace—which is headed by Trump and made up of world leaders—the executive board will be more directly involved in overseeing the postwar management of Gaza, playing a critical role as opposed to the more symbolic Board of Peace.
