Orbán touts Ukraine policy after Russian drones in Poland, Sikorski responds

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, against the backdrop of the Russian drone attack on Poland, called his peaceful policy on Russia's war against Ukraine the right one. Poland reacted to such cynicism, Orbán and Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski reported.
Orbán's reaction to Russian drones in Poland
Orbán wrote that his country remains "fully" in "solidarity with Poland" in connection with the drone incident. He called the violation of Poland's territorial integrity unacceptable, without mentioning Russia.
"The incident proves that our policy of calling for peace in the Russia-Ukraine war is reasonable and rational. Living in the shadow of a war is fraught with risks and dangers. It's time to make it stop! To this end, we support the efforts of President Donald Trump aimed at achieving peace," the Prime Minister added.
Sikorski's response
Sikorski did not agree with Orbán's statement.
"The incident proves you should get off the fence and condemn Russian aggression. We ask you to unblock the disbursement of EU funds for defence, approve tougher sanctions on the aggressor and withdraw your veto on starting Ukraine's EU accession negotiations," the minister emphasized.
Drone attack on Poland
During the massive attack on Ukraine on the night of September 10, some drones entered Polish airspace.
As a result of air defense operations over Poland, only 4 out of 19 drones were shot down.
Germany has already promised to give a tough response to Russia for such an escalation.
