Orbán's opponent to visit Kyiv after Okhmatdyt hospital shelling
The political opponent of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Péter Magyar, will visit Kyiv tomorrow, July 10, because of the Russian shelling of the Okhmatdyt children's hospital, according to his Facebook.
Magyar condemned the Russian attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital and called the health and safety of children a priority. He announced an extraordinary humanitarian action.
"With the help of the MedSpot Foundation, we will transfer a significant amount of medical and healthcare equipment to local hospitals that need it most. I am personally donating 1 million forints ($2,736) to the Foundation," the politician wrote.
Missile attack on Okhmatdyt
On July 8, 2024, the Russian military committed another brutal act of terror against Ukraine, launching a large-scale missile attack on peaceful cities. The attack began with the shelling of Kryvyi Rih and the Kropyvnytskyi district. Subsequently, explosions occurred in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, where air defense was activated.
In total, they fired 38 missiles of various types. One of them hit the Okhmatdyt children's hospital, causing extensive damage and endangering the lives of children and medical staff.
