Orbán calls to vote against Ukraine's accession to EU again

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has once again urged citizens to vote against Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, according to a post he shared on Facebook.
In his post, the politician claimed that Ukraine's accession to the EU threatens everything they have achieved, though he did not specify their achievements.
"Ukraine joining the EU puts all our accomplishments at risk. We won't let them humiliate the Hungarian people! Vote!" Orbán wrote, promoting the ongoing consultations taking place in Hungary.
What preceded this
Hungary continues to block the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has repeatedly voiced his opposition to such an expansion of the bloc.
In addition, Orbán launched what he calls a national consultation in Hungary to gauge public opinion on Ukraine’s EU membership.
Just days ago, on April 22, Orbán personally took part in the vote, demonstratively casting his ballot against Ukraine joining the European bloc.
Meanwhile, on April 14, the opposition party Tisza released results of its survey, which showed a contrasting view: according to their poll, 58% of Hungarians support Ukraine’s EU membership.
