Oppo unveils world's thinnest folding smartphone: It will surprise you

Oppo has introduced the Find 5 foldable smartphone, which is called the thinnest device in its form factor, reports 9to5Google.
Features of the smartphone
Oppo Find N5 is the world's thinnest folding book smartphone so far. It's only 8.93 mm thick when folded, and 4.21 mm when unfolded. This makes it slightly thinner than the Honor Magic V3 (9.0 mm) and more than 3 mm thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.
At the same time, the device weighs 229 g, which is only 2 g heavier than the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Despite the ultra-thin body, Oppo hasn't compromised on the specs.
The Oppo Find N5 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, coupled with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. Out of the box, the device comes with ColorOS 15.0.1 based on Android 15.
The smartphone is equipped with a 5,600 mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging (USB-C) and 50W wireless charging via compatible AirVOOC chargers. For comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, while significantly thicker, still only has a 4,400 mAh battery.
The external display of the Oppo Find N5 is a 6.62-inch LTPO OLED panel made with Nanocrystal glass technology. The internal screen is an 8.12-inch LTPO OLED panel with an aspect ratio of 9.9:9, making it almost square.

Oppo's unique hinge significantly reduces the crease on the screen, and the company claims it is "virtually invisible."
The main camera of the smartphone includes:
- 50 MP (Sony LYT-700) - main sensor
- 8 MP - ultra-wide-angle lens
- 50 MP - telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom (equivalent to 70 mm)
As for the software features, the flagship has been integrated with the newly developed Chinese AI DeepSeek-R1. The device can also be easily synchronized with Mac computers for file transfer and remote control. Oppo also promises four years of Android updates and six years of security patches.
The price of the device
Oppo Find N5 is released simultaneously on the global market and in China. The official price of the foldable smartphone in Singapore, where the presentation took place, will be $1870 for the 16+512 GB version.
