A person has been killed following a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. Russian forces struck the capital on the night of April 6, the spokesperson of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Yevhen Ievlev informed.

"Unfortunately, we have updated information about one fatality, but details are still unclear as this information was just updated 10 minutes ago," Ievlev said.

Additionally, three people have been reported injured.

"Preliminarily, the injuries were caused by the blast wave, including shrapnel wounds from glass," he added.

It is currently known that all the victims are men of various ages, and two of them have been hospitalized.

Vctim was near the epicenter of the explosion

Later, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko added that the body of the man who died as a result of the enemy's attack was found in the Darnytskyi district.

"He was outside, near the epicenter of the explosion. The man's identity is being confirmed," he added.

Russian attack on Kyiv

Around 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, air raid alerts were issued across most of Ukraine due to the threat of ballistic missile strikes.

In Kyiv, a series of explosions were heard on April 6 amid the missile strike threat. The enemy launched ballistic missiles, including at the capital.

Following the attack, fires were recorded in several districts of Kyiv due to the Russian missile strike. It was reported that three people were injured in Kyiv, including in the Darnytskyi district.
