One of Russia's largest oil refineries hit as Ukrainian drones strike multiple military targets

Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the Volgograd oil refinery, an aircraft manufacturing plant, the port of Taman, the Pole-21 electronic warfare system, and other Russian military targets overnight on July 31, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
As part of efforts to reduce the military and economic potential of the Russian aggressor, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka oil refinery in Volgograd (Volgograd region, Russia).
A hit on the facility was recorded, followed by a fire on the premises.
Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka is one of Russia’s largest oil refineries. Its processing capacity is about 15 million tonnes of oil per year.
The plant produces motor gasoline, diesel fuel, and aviation fuel. It is involved in meeting the needs of the Russian armed forces.
The extent of the damage is being assessed.
Pole-21 electronic warfare system near Holubivka in the Luhansk region was also struck.
In addition, an ammunition depot near Naumivka in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and an enemy command post near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region were hit.
The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Defense Forces, also attacked an aircraft plant in temporarily occupied Yevpatoria. Two hangars used to store aircraft and a production workshop were hit.
The infrastructure of the port of Taman was also struck, where a large-scale fire was recorded.
Drone attack on Russia
Ukrainian drones once again attacked a number of Russian regions overnight on July 31. In particular, FP-1 drones struck a Wildberries logistics hub and an oil refinery in Volgograd.
Explosions were also heard in Kazan and Zelenodolsk. According to preliminary information, Wildberries facilities may have been hit.
An attack on the TAIF-NK oil refinery was also reported in Nizhnekamsk.
In Kaspiysk, local residents reported a drone attack and explosions in the area of the seaport.
