Russia carried out another massive strike on Ukraine on December 25, targeting critical infrastructure. The primary focus of the strikes was energy facilities, causing extensive damage and disruptions to electricity supply in several regions.

Various types of weaponry were used, including ballistic missiles and drones. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the enemy launched over 70 missiles and more than 100 strike drones. Thanks to the work of Ukrainian air defense, more than 50 missiles and a significant number of drones were intercepted.

Due to the strikes in the Kharkiv region, hits were recorded in three districts of the city, there is damage to houses, and at least six people were injured.

The Russian strike on the Prykarpattia region left the cities of Kalush, Burshtyn, and Ivano-Frankivsk without electricity. Kalush also has no water supply due to power outages at the treatment facilities.

Russian attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk region caused emergency water supply cuts in some areas due to problems with the power grid.

As a result of the shelling of the Kirovohrad region, a gas pipe and windows of houses were damaged.

In the Kyiv region, debris from downed missiles damaged trucks, houses, and cafes.

At the same time, Ukraine's Energy Minister German Galushchenko reported significant damage to facilities, including DTEK (Ukraine's largest private energy company - ed.) thermal power plants. This is the thirteenth massive attack on the Ukrainian energy sector this year.

Earlier, on Christmas Eve, Russia also carried out strikes on Ukraine. One of them hit an apartment building in Kryvyi Rih, the Dnipropetrovsk region.
