A man was killed after a Russian FPV drone attacked a passenger minibus on the Sumy-Bilopillia highway, according to the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office and Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

According to the prosecutor's office, as of 8:40 PM Kyiv time, the 69-year-old man injured during the Russian attack in the Mykolaivka rural community had died. Thirteen people were injured, including an 8-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl.

Oleh Hryhorov clarified that the elderly man died in the hospital.

"Medical staff began resuscitation measures while he was still in the ambulance. However, his injuries were too severe, and he could not be saved. Our sincere condolences go to his family," he said.

He added that the number of injured rose to 13 after another victim sought medical help.

Earlier reports indicated that the minibus, traveling toward Sumy, was completely destroyed in the attack. Initial reports said the vehicle carried five passengers and the driver, but later updates clarified the total number of people on board. The most seriously injured were the elderly man and the 8-year-old boy.

A pre-trial investigation into war crimes is underway under the procedural guidance of the Sumy District Prosecutor's Office (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The investigation is led by the Sumy District Police Department.

Separately, Russian forces today struck a high-rise building in the Zarichnyi district of Sumy with an Italmas drone. The attack hit the roof directly, causing a fire that rescuers quickly extinguished. A 44-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction and received medical assistance.
