On the night of October 15, Ukraine’s Defense Forces launched a new massive drone attack on various regions of Russia. In the Ryazan region, a strike on the territory of an oil refinery was confirmed, according to a report by the Russian Defense Ministry and a statement by Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov.

"Tonight and in the morning, our region came under a massive UAV attack. A fire broke out on the premises of an oil refinery," Malkov wrote.

According to him, a warehouse and vehicles were damaged at another enterprise in Ryazan.

The governor also added that no civilians were injured in the latest Ukrainian strikes.

Malkov emphasized that local authorities were currently trying to assess all material damage, while emergency services were working at the strike sites.

It is important to understand that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on the Russian oil refinery came immediately after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly announced the resumption of strikes on Russian oil refineries.

The Russian Defense Ministry claims that the Ukrainian Armed Forces again used hundreds of drones during the latest air attack.

The enemy defense ministry claims that its air defenses allegedly intercepted 166 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of:

  • Bryansk region;

  • Kursk region;

  • Tula region;
